Welcome back from Spring Break! Whether you have just returned from a relaxing spring break, if you returned nearly a month ago, or if you did not have the opportunity to relax much this year, we hope that you have a renewed vigor for the final push to summer vacation.

Many of you have been asking for lessons on square roots and radicals for quite some time. We have just approved a 19-part Advanced Algebra video series from contributor YourMathGal on square roots and radicals. Some topics covered in this series are taking simple square roots of numbers and variable expressions; taking cube roots and fourth roots of numbers and variable expressions; simplifying / breaking down square roots and radical expressions; adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing square roots and radical expressions; rationalizing the denominator with square roots and other order radicals in the denominator as well as with binomial radical expressions in the denominator. This is a great series that is hopefully just in time for some of you.

For those of you with an active MathVids Premium membership, we have now added the feature of receiving a weekly email detailing exactly which videos have been viewed using your user profile each week. You will automatically receive this email starting this coming Monday morning. Parents, this means that you can check in on your child to see if he or she is actually watching videos! If you do not wish to receive our weekly usage report by email, you may go into your “My Account” tab and turn this option off next to “Weekly Usage Email”. Make sure to click “Save Changes” below the portfolio options for this to take effect. We will try to continue to provide you with additional premium benefits in the near future.
