I hope that everyone’s summer has been relaxing, safe, and enjoyable. While many of you have been off for the summer, our moderators have been hard at work approving video submissions. We continue to fill in the gaps in our content, and we now have nearly 1,800 lessons approved. We will continue to add more videos as quickly as we can, but if anyone is interested, we still have positions available for moderators at $2 per video moderated.
Also, as promised at the beginning of the year, we plan to make the MathVids experience much richer this year. Starting this summer, we are going to start adding more functionality and many more features to the site, making it more social. This includes allowing teachers to create classrooms, post to classroom walls, share resources, and interact with students. Students will then be able to follow a teacher or a classroom, post privately to the class wall, and download class resources.
We also plan to create a teacher-teacher interactive portal in which teachers can support and share with one another.
However, to ensure that we create something that will be used and appreciated, we want to ask for your feedback on some ideas we have. If you are a teacher, please help us out and fill out our short teacher questionnaire so we can build an awesome platform. We will also need some teachers who are willing to try out some of the new features with their students / classes.
Thanks in advance for your help in the MathVids Social Project, and look for some fun, new features coming soon!
